Erik Olivarez

Born in Corpus Christi, and raised in Houston Texas, Erik has spent his life exploring the mediums of creation and their disciplines. A University of Texas Graduate, Erik earned his Bachelor of Architecture in May of 2019 while also working as a Research Assistant alongside Professor Benjamin Ibarra Sevilla. Documenting projects with the National Park Service and the City of New York, he investigated the intersection of emerging digital technologies and their applications to Historic Preservation.

While pursuing his education, Erik volunteered as a Docent at the University of Texas and the Contemporary Austin where he sought to expand the communal outreach of permanent and temporary art installations around the city. Erik strongly believes in the importance of accessibility within the realm of public education, fine art and sensible architecture because of their continuous impact on our everyday lives. Joining CONTENT in the Fall of 2019, Erik is excited to bring his creative skill set to an innovative team of like-minded professionals.

Aside from work, Erik spends his free time painting, baking (and eating) or spending time with his black cat, Nicholas.
