Switch2Pure is a natural skin care provider focused on organic and non-toxic products. Set within the former showroom of a door company, the renovation provides space for product displays and retail areas in the front, as well as private rooms for ozone treatments, facials, and other skin treatments beyond. Playful shapes and colorful surfaces animate the space between the refinished concrete floor and the exposed roof structure above.  

Details within the space aim to maximize the potential of standardized materials in order to work within a limited budget. With this constraint, the design utilizes creative use of plywood, paint colors, and metal trim to create unique elements that provide a sense of identity. In the public spaces, angled millwork panels of various shades of pink conceal storage cabinets, while providing the depth required to contain and support the brass trimmed display cases above. Private rooms consider the reclined position of those receiving treatments, offering words of inspiration on the ceiling’s surface. A subtle reveal at the floor gives the impression of lightness to new elements that seem to float above the polished concrete floor.
